Combining our fabric gambeson with extended sleeves, the Westley is a perfect combination of fantasy and historical references.
This knee length vest can be made from your choice of chenille, brocade or velvet fabric, but comes standard in the Grace Chenille in a variety of colors. The sleeves are extended to the length of the vest, but button only to the length of a standard doublet. This allows the wearer to choose how much hang they want for their sleeves. Both vest and sleeves are lined in black cotton. Buttons are available in either gold or silver.
This item fits like our standard size doublet: Laced completely closed, it is comparable to a 42 jacket, loosening the sides increases the size. Up to a 48 fits comfortably.
Grace and Louvre are two chenille fabric lines that are completely reversible. “Side 1” of any of these colors will have the chenille pattern on the colored crepe fabric. “Side 2” of any of these colors will have the colored crepe pattern on the chenille fabric. For example, Side 1 of crimson will be mostly red with some black: Side 2 will be mostly black with some red. Grace is the larger pattern fabric, while Louvre is the smaller pattern fabric.
